Overview
HLA Attachments' 72-inch hydraulic rotary pickup broom collects and contains swept material rather than windrowing it to the side. This is the right tool for job sites, parking lots, and gutters where material must be removed rather than just pushed away. The 72-inch width fits mid-frame skid steers and keeps a manageable machine footprint in tighter areas. Reversible broom rotation allows sweeping away from doors and loading docks. The bucket features a replaceable hardened 3/4" x 6" double bevel cutting edge. Made in Ontario by HLA Attachments.
Canada Availability
Available in Canada through HLA Attachments dealers including GLC Equipment. Ontario-manufactured by Horst Welding.

Is This Right For You?
✅ Buy if…
- You need to collect material into a hopper, not just push it aside — cleanup is contained in one pass
- You're cleaning surfaces where side-casting would create a secondary mess (near curbs, drainage, sensitive areas)
⛔ Skip if…
- Capacity is the issue — hopper fills faster than a windrow, meaning more dump cycles on large jobs
- The attachment weight of a pickup broom is a concern on smaller machines (1,100+ lbs loaded hopper)
🔍 Also consider…
- Angle broom for high-speed open-area cleanup where windrow isn't an issue
- Sweeper with water tank if dust suppression is needed
🔧 Machine Compatibility
Compatible with all skid steer brands and compact track loaders via universal SSQA quick attach. Mid to large-frame machines (S450–S750 class) are the best fit for this width.

Care & Maintenance
- Inspect broom fill length after every 20 hours of use — bristles below minimum length drag rather than sweep, waste time, and mask the fact that you need a replacement
- Clean debris wrapped in the drum core after every extended session — wire, hair, and root cause drum imbalance and stress the hydraulic motor bearings
- Grease drum bearing end caps monthly during active use periods
- Check hydraulic motor connections and angle cylinder fittings weekly — broom motors work hard and connection fittings loosen over time
- Store on end or off the ground so bristle fill doesn't take a permanent set under drum weight — brooms stored drum-down develop flat spots in the fill that affect sweep quality
