Overview
HLA Attachments' 84-inch hydraulic rotary pickup broom is a larger-format version of their pickup broom series, designed for Canadian commercial sweeping jobs where covering more area per pass matters. The 84-inch width works well on large-frame skid steers clearing expansive parking lots, industrial yards, or streets. Like the 72-inch version, it features reversible broom rotation to handle sweeping away from doors and loading docks. A hardened replaceable cutting edge on the hopper ensures long service life. Made in Ontario.
Canada Availability

Is This Right For You?
✅ Buy if…
- You need to collect material into a hopper, not just push it aside — cleanup is contained in one pass
- You're cleaning surfaces where side-casting would create a secondary mess (near curbs, drainage, sensitive areas)
⛔ Skip if…
- Capacity is the issue — hopper fills faster than a windrow, meaning more dump cycles on large jobs
- The attachment weight of a pickup broom is a concern on smaller machines (1,100+ lbs loaded hopper)
🔍 Also consider…
- Angle broom for high-speed open-area cleanup where windrow isn't an issue
- Sweeper with water tank if dust suppression is needed
🔧 Machine Compatibility
Compatible with all skid steer brands and compact track loaders via universal SSQA quick attach. Mid to large-frame machines (S450–S750 class) are the best fit for this width.

Care & Maintenance
- Inspect broom fill length after every 20 hours of use — bristles below minimum length drag rather than sweep, waste time, and mask the fact that you need a replacement
- Clean debris wrapped in the drum core after every extended session — wire, hair, and root cause drum imbalance and stress the hydraulic motor bearings
- Grease drum bearing end caps monthly during active use periods
- Check hydraulic motor connections and angle cylinder fittings weekly — broom motors work hard and connection fittings loosen over time
- Store on end or off the ground so bristle fill doesn't take a permanent set under drum weight — brooms stored drum-down develop flat spots in the fill that affect sweep quality
