John Deere GR72B Rock Grapple on a skid steer

Overview

The GR72B is a 72-inch rock grapple in John Deere's Worksite Pro line — built for land clearing, jobsite cleanup, and brush removal where the material is too loose or irregular for a bucket. Weld-in serrated cutting edges on both the bucket and the grapple arm help the unit grip stone, root balls, and demolition debris. High grapple forces give it the closing power needed for dense material loads. At 72 inches, it works well on mid-size to large-frame machines. Available in Canada through Brandt. Note: the GR72B is a rock grapple (heavy closed bucket style) — if you need a root grapple with wide tine spacing for sorting material, look at the HG series.

Key Facts

Is This Right For You?

✅ Buy if…

  • You work in quarrying, shoreline work, or heavy land clearing

⛔ Skip if…

  • Your rock is small and uniform — a rock bucket moves volume faster
  • You need to sort debris — a grapple with fingers works better for mixed piles

🔍 Also consider…

  • Industrial grapple for mixed debris with some rock
  • Rock bucket if you're loading and moving more than sorting
🔧 Machine Compatibility
