HLA Scrap Grapple Bucket 78-Inch Skid Steer

Overview

The HLA 78-inch scrap grapple bucket is the widest option in their scrap grapple line, suited for large-frame machines handling maximum volume of demolition debris and heavy scrap. Two independent grapple arms clamp securely across wide irregular loads. Cylinders and hoses included. The 78-inch width makes it efficient on large demolition sites and scrapyards. Made in Canada by Horst Welding and available through TAG Equipment.

Is This Right For You?

✅ Buy if…

  • You need more versatility than a bucket — grab, hold, and move irregular loads
  • You clear brush, debris, or demolition material where a bucket loses control of the load

⛔ Skip if…

  • Dense, uniform material (gravel, sand, soil) is better handled by a GP bucket with more capacity per cycle
  • The grapple weight would push you near your machine's ROC limit with this load type

🔍 Also consider…

  • GP bucket for high-volume dense material work
  • Root grapple for brush-heavy clearing jobs
🔧 Machine Compatibility

Compatible with all skid steer brands and compact track loaders via universal SSQA quick attach. Mid to large-frame machines (S450–S750 class) are the best fit for this width.
