Erskine High Flow Skid Steer Brush Chipper
🟡 High Flow

Overview
Erskine's high-flow brush chipper is designed for skid steers equipped with high-flow auxiliary hydraulics, pushing the chipping capacity to 8 inches — suitable for larger tree limbs and heavier clearing work. The larger 30-inch disc at 275 lbs provides the flywheel momentum needed to power through dense hardwood. Operates at 25-38 GPM at 3,000 PSI. The dual SSQA mount configuration allows parking the skid steer perpendicular or parallel to the chipper. Available through Canadian Erskine dealers.

Is This Right For You?
✅ Buy if…
- You need to chip brush, limbs, and slash into transportable material rather than mulching in place
- Urban tree service, brush disposal contracts, or sites where leaving mulched material is unacceptable
- You want to produce usable wood chip material for landscaping or disposal
⛔ Skip if…
- In-place mulching is acceptable — a drum mulcher processes faster without relocating the machine
- You're clearing large acreage where chip transport logistics don't make sense
🔍 Also consider…
- Drum mulcher for in-place land clearing and brush processing
- Forestry mulcher for high-volume stand clearing where material stays on site
🔧 Machine Compatibility
Compatible with all skid steer brands and compact track loaders via universal SSQA quick attach. Mid-frame machines (S450–S650 class) are the most common fit.

Care & Maintenance
- Inspect carbide hammers or teeth before every use — missing or broken hammers unbalance the rotor and can cause catastrophic motor damage at high RPM
- Replace worn teeth in matched sets across the rotor — even one missing hammer creates vibration destructive enough to damage drive motor bearings
- Grease rotor shaft bearing housings every 4–8 hours of operation, or more frequently in dusty or abrasive conditions
- Clean packed fibrous material from the housing interior and rotor after every session — buildup adds asymmetric weight and creates rotor imbalance
- Check the hydraulic motor case drain line monthly for leakage — a restricted or failed case drain causes motor shaft seal failure and internal leakage
