IronBull IronBull Vibratory Plate Compactor soil-conditioners

Overview

IronBull's skid steer vibratory plate compactor is a hydraulic attachment that mounts on a skid steer to compact granular soil, gravel, and asphalt in trenches, around utilities, and on prepared sub-bases. The vibrating plate provides better compaction density than static rolling alone. Used by Canadian contractors for road base compaction, utility trench backfill, and paved area sub-base preparation. Key Facts

Is This Right For You?

✅ Buy if…

  • You compact granular fill, gravel, or aggregate after grading — rollers and compactors eliminate voids
  • Pathway construction, driveway base compaction, or trench backfill compaction with your skid steer
  • You want to combine compaction with your existing skid steer fleet without a dedicated walk-behind compactor

⛔ Skip if…

  • Cohesive clay soils are your primary material — vibratory compaction is less effective in clay
  • Deep fill lifts over 12 inches — you'll need multiple passes or a heavier piece of equipment

🔍 Also consider…

  • Soil conditioner for surface prep and grading before compaction
  • Landplane for final grading before compaction
🔧 Machine Compatibility

Compatible with all skid steer brands and compact track loaders via universal SSQA quick attach. Mid-frame machines (S450–S650 class) are the most common fit.
