Skid-Pro Soil Conditioner 84 inch

Overview

Skid-Pro's 84-inch soil conditioner is a direct-drive hydraulic attachment for large-frame skid steers doing commercial seedbed preparation, turf renovation, and landscape finish grading. The 10¾-inch rotor with full-length carbide teeth — not just carbide-tipped — breaks up compacted soil and grades it in one pass. A floating hitch keeps the drum in contact with uneven ground, and hydraulic angle adjustment is standard on Skid-Pro's conditioners. At 84 inches this is production-width for large turf contracts and commercial landscaping. Available in Canada through Skid-Pro dealers.

Key Facts

Is This Right For You?

✅ Buy if…

  • You prep lawns, residential lots, or acreage for seeding — soil conditioners remove rocks and till in one pass
  • Post-construction cleanup where you need to remove debris, rocks, and construction material from the surface
  • Subdivision lot seeding prep is regular work — soil conditioners are the go-to attachment for that job

⛔ Skip if…

  • Deep tillage and soil mixing is your goal — a rototiller or subsoiler works better for that
  • Your ground is rocky or heavily compacted — you may need to scarify first before a soil conditioner works efficiently

🔍 Also consider…

  • Power rake for lighter debris removal and final seedbed touch-up
  • Rototiller for agricultural plots needing deep tillage and amendment incorporation
🔧 Machine Compatibility

Compatible with all skid steer brands and compact track loaders via universal SSQA quick attach. Mid to large-frame machines (S450–S750 class) are the best fit for this width.
