Virnig Virnig V60 Soil Conditioner 48" soil-conditioners

Overview

The Virnig V60 48-inch soil conditioner prepares seedbeds, landscaping areas, and disturbed soil on compact skid steers. The hydraulic drum rotates to break up clods, level high spots, and remove debris in a single pass. Suited for lawn renovation, sports fields, and landscape projects where a narrower working width allows precise work. Requires standard hydraulic flow (15–25 GPM) with a loader capacity over 1,500 lbs. Compatible with most skid steer brands via universal SSQA. Made in Minnesota and available in Canada through Virnig dealers.

Key Facts

Is This Right For You?

✅ Buy if…

  • You prep lawns, residential lots, or acreage for seeding — soil conditioners remove rocks and till in one pass
  • Post-construction cleanup where you need to remove debris, rocks, and construction material from the surface
  • Subdivision lot seeding prep is regular work — soil conditioners are the go-to attachment for that job

⛔ Skip if…

  • Deep tillage and soil mixing is your goal — a rototiller or subsoiler works better for that
  • Your ground is rocky or heavily compacted — you may need to scarify first before a soil conditioner works efficiently

🔍 Also consider…

  • Power rake for lighter debris removal and final seedbed touch-up
  • Rototiller for agricultural plots needing deep tillage and amendment incorporation
🔧 Machine Compatibility

Compact size fits small-frame machines (S70–S185 class) as well as mid and large-frame loaders. Universal SSQA mount works with all major brands.
