Both brands are owned by the Manitou Group, a French equipment manufacturer. Gehl and Mustang skid steers are produced on the same production lines and share identical engineering, hydraulics, and componentry — just with different decals and different dealer networks. A Mustang 2700R is mechanically identical to a Gehl R270. A Mustang 3300V is the same machine as a Gehl V330.

A note on radial vs vertical lift — this affects attachment selection for some use cases. Radial lift arms trace an arc during the lift cycle; they provide more reach at mid-height and are better suited for digging and dozing work. Vertical lift arms keep the load more parallel to the machine throughout the lift, providing better reach and height at the top of the cycle — preferable for loading trucks or high-dump operations. The V330 is Gehl's top-end wheeled skid steer — 100 hp, 3,300 lb ROC, and up to ~40 GPM high-flow output. This machine handles the full Gehl attachment catalog without compromise when the high-flow package is installed. With 3,300 lb rated operating capacity, it manages the loads that a mid-frame skid steer works hard at — large GP buckets fully loaded, heavy palletized materials, bale handling at volume.
Attachment sweet spot: Everything. The V330 with high-flow runs demanding mulchers, commercial snow blowers, cold planers, and high-flow post drivers. Large GP bucket (72"–78") is appropriate for this machine size. Vertical lift geometry makes it ideal for truck-loading and pallet work.

Root grapples, bucket grapples, and demolition grapples run on standard auxiliary hydraulics and are compatible with all Gehl models.
