JCB Quick Hitch: Industry Standard, No Adapters Needed

Every JCB skid steer and compact track loader uses an industry-standard quick hitch — what the rest of the industry calls the universal quick-attach (SSQA) system. JCB specifically markets this as a selling point: their machines accept all JCB attachments as well as attachments from any other manufacturer built to the SSQA standard.

This means:

• Any aftermarket attachment with a standard SSQA plate (HLA, TMG, Virnig, Blue Diamond, Werk-Brau, and most other Canadian attachment suppliers) will mount directly to a JCB without any adapter.
• JCB-branded attachments also use the SSQA plate and will cross-fit to other brands that use the same system.
• Unlike Bobcat (Bob-Tach) or older John Deere machines, JCB uses the universal spec directly — no compatibility confusion.

1. "What is my model's aux hydraulic flow output — standard and high-flow?" Get the GPM from the dealer or your operator manual.
2. "Is the high-flow circuit installed and active?" High-flow is an option — confirm it's on the unit, not just listed as available.
3. "What operating pressure does the aux circuit produce?" Critical for breakers and some specialty attachments that have pressure windows, not just flow minimums.
4. "Does JCB's Smoothride System (SRS) affect attachment compatibility?" SRS is a ride control option that affects bucket/boom behavior — it doesn't affect which attachments you can use, but ask about it for context on machine behavior.
