Overview
Erskine's landscape rake uses tined fingers to windrow rocks, debris, and roots from the surface while fine-grading in the same pass. A passive (no hydraulic drive) attachment that works without auxiliary hydraulics — useful for final surface clearing before seeding or sodding. Available through Canadian dealers in Alberta and BC. Erskine has manufactured attachments for over 75 years with ISO 9001:2015 certification.
Canada Availability
Available through Erskine dealers in Canada including Timberland Supply (Edmonton, AB).
Key Facts

Is This Right For You?
✅ Buy if…
- You're breaking up compacted gravel roads, hardpan, or packed aggregate before regrading
- Your site has frost-heaved or rutted surfaces that need aggressive tine action before re-spreading
- You need to loosen material before a final grading pass — scarifiers prep the surface efficiently
⛔ Skip if…
- You're finishing a prepared seedbed — a standard power rake with finer tines does that job better
- Your soil is already loose — scarifier tines dig too aggressively and will over-till
🔍 Also consider…
- Standard power rake for final seedbed prep and debris removal
- Landplane for final levelling after scarifying
🔧 Machine Compatibility
Compatible with all skid steer brands via universal SSQA quick attach. No auxiliary hydraulics required — operates off the loader arms.
About Erskine in Canada
Erskine is a US attachment brand with Canadian dealer coverage, known particularly for augers, soil conditioners, and specialty attachments. Erskine products are available at equipment dealers across Canada and are respected for quality build and reliable performance.
Care & Maintenance
- Inspect rotor teeth after each use — chipped or missing carbide dramatically reduces grading quality and throws the rotor off balance
- Grease rotor shaft bearing housings at each end after every 8 hours of use — most premature bearing failures trace back to insufficient lubrication intervals
- Clean packed soil from rotor teeth and the housing after every job — built-up soil throws the rotor out of balance and restricts rotation
- Replace worn teeth in matched sets — mixing old and new teeth across the rotor causes uneven cutting and vibration that stresses the drive
- Inspect hydraulic motor drive connections and belt tension (if belt-driven) weekly during active season
How to Connect
- Attach frame using Bob-Tach
- Connect hydraulic rotor circuit
- Adjust rotor depth by lowering carefully — engage at surface before penetrating soil
- Set material deflector angle if applicable
⚠ Safety NotePower rakes are standard-flow on most models. Excellent for seedbed prep and spring field work.
