Kubota Skid Steer Attachments — Compatibility Guide

Kubota's SSV and SVL series skid steers and compact track loaders are popular across Canada for their reliability, visibility, and strong dealer support. Their hydraulic specs sit comfortably in the mid-range, making them well-suited to the most common attachment categories. Here's what fits and what to confirm with your dealer.

Kubota entered the skid steer market more recently than Bobcat or John Deere, but they've built a strong following — particularly in Ontario, BC, and the prairies — driven by their reputation for engine reliability and low operating costs. The SSV65 and SSV75 are the two main wheeled skid steer models; the SVL series are compact track loaders with similar attachment compatibility. All use the standard universal quick-attach system.

Quick-Attach System

Kubota uses the standard universal quick-attach (QA) system across their skid steer and compact track loader lineup. This provides maximum third-party attachment compatibility:

Note on the SSV65 and SSV75: These wheeled models are on the smaller end of the mid-size range. Their 21 GPM standard flow is solid for most attachments, but they don't offer a high-flow option. For high-flow attachment requirements (forestry mulchers, heavy rotary cutters), the SVL95-2s or SVL97-2 track loaders are the path — they have high-flow as an option.

What to Ask Your Dealer

  1. "What is the exact aux hydraulic flow on this unit?" SSV models are standard-flow only. SVL95/97 have high-flow as an option — confirm whether it's installed.
  2. "Is this machine set up for single-direction or bi-directional auxiliary flow?" Some attachments (reversible augers) need bi-directional flow. Confirm this capability for specialty attachments.
  3. "What is the aux hydraulic pressure rating?" Important when matching hydraulic breakers — Kubota's 3,190 PSI operating pressure is slightly lower than some competitors at 3,335 PSI. Most breakers work fine, but verify the spec matches.
  4. "Is the quick-attach plate in good condition for a used unit?" Worn quick-attach plates can cause loose or improper fit even with compatible attachments. Inspect before purchase.
